Jeff, I painted a mural this morning and when I showed it to the owners, something really funny happened (I guess it wasn’t really funny at the time). They both loved the mural, and when the husband raised his hand to point something out to his wife, he put his hand right into the ceiling fan that was on medium speed. We heard a thud and then an “Ouch!” After a couple of minutes, he said, “Man, that hurt” and then started to laugh. That helped us all to relax a little. Then he said that he could not even see the ceiling fan there because it blended right into the ceiling. I guess that his putting his hand into the fan was really a compliment. I owe it all to you. I just painted a mural for a couple that had (company name removed) do a mural for them a few months ago. When I finished with my mural, they told me that they had debated using me because I was more expensive than the other company. But, after seeing the mural that I painted for them, they said that they’d overpaid for the other mural, that actually cost them about half what I charged. I have been painting your product for a couple of years now and, I just have to tell you, it is still just as fun as day one. I have seen other, similar products before, and even ordered a demo poster from one. I decided to go with you after talking with you and feeling confident in your know-how. Wow! What else can I say?! Okay, that probably isn't enough! Let me go into a bit of detail...!
I ordered the S********s (competitor's name removed) package approximately a year ago after weeks and weeks of deliberation - the price was kind of steep, as you well know, so it wasn't a decision taken lightly. But I thought the actual idea was totally fantastic, it was a completely unique ‘product' and I could see so many possibilities in doing this kind of business.
However, on receiving the S********s business kit, I have to admit there was a hint of disappointment. Sure there was a video, manual, some paints and other bits and pieces but I always had the feeling that something was missing but couldn't quite put my finger on it. My husband at the time made several comments along the lines of ‘what a waste of money' but I was so excited by the actual idea behind the product that I didn't let his comments sink in. (I would have been OK with the cheap package that I received, had there only been good information in the manual)
I read the manual several times, watched the video lots and lots of times and practised many ceilings in my house (reminds me I must get round to painting over them now!). But there just wasn't enough information in the business kit to make the ceilings look outstanding. I have the manual in front of me at the moment. It is poorly photocopied, has S********s "advertisements" everywhere but more importantly than that, the actual content is way below standard. It seems to be the very bare minimum.
I lost so much confidence in the product, the idea behind it, absolutely everything. But I'm not one to give up! So I started looking around for different ideas and that's when I came across your website. You were more than helpful - I wasn't even a paying customer back then, but you gave your time and advice without hesitation. Thank you for that!
I ordered your manual and can say, without doubt, that I was knocked out. On reading your manual, I could see exactly where S********s failed. Nothing is left out at all. After reading your manual, I painted a porthole on my bedroom ceiling and it looks fantastic!
On comparing the different ceilings in my house (the S********s ones) to my bedroom porthole, that I painted with the Dark Sky Murals techniques, the difference is amazing! It looks so real it really is like someone has taken away the ceiling - and I DID THAT MYSELF!!!!! "I've just received the demo kit... WOW! I showed it to an acquaintance of some friends of mine, who just loved it. He then called some of his friends and told them that they needed to come over and check something out. Hey, you were right. We took the demonstration poster to a party that a friend was having (I'd already shown him and he told me to bring it back to the party). He then told everyone that he wanted them so see something. They all gathered in the living room and he told them what they were about to see (he did most of the talking for us because he loved the product so much). He then turned out the lights and as people's eyes adapted to the dark we could hear a lot of ooohs and aaahhs!
We were the hit of the party from that moment on and we already have some jobs set to install, and others who will have us over once they do a little remodel first. We love this business and we love working together! What a bonus for us! Thank you so much for your great instruction and your patience with us when we've had questions. You've done more than we could have expected. Show this to anyone that you want. We would recommend you and the Dark Sky Murals business package to anyone!

I have to tell you that I really took a chance with you that could have cost me some heartache from friends and family. I told them what I was thinking about doing and some friends were OK with it while others, including my family, thought I was crazy. I had seen this business first from one of your competitors who I saw in a magazine advertisement. After finding your site I wanted to find out more about each of you.
On the S********s site they offer the world to people looking into this business and it is very difficult to not get sucked into it all. They are really good at the technique of hype and stretching the truth. Well, when I found your site I asked you if you offered the same things. You just laughed, which made me curious. Then you said something that was so true. You said that, "all of the Bells and Whistles in the world mean nothing if the information that they sell you is not very good."
Well, I did my due diligence and checked around. I found other s********s painters who were struggling and they said that most of the people on the forum were too, and that they were all trying to figure out better ways to paint the murals and to figure out which tools to use. That was a red flag to me and I looked harder at your product and ordered a demo poster which you painted for me. When it arrived I knew that if you could teach me to paint something as nice as what you'd sent me, then we had a deal. You said that you could and so I took a chance on you.
Now I am writing to let you know how thankful I am to you for your honesty, your integrity and for your business package. It was everything that I wanted. And even if I didn't get a lot of extra "stuff" from you that I might have gotten from the other guys, I have more in the long run. But, it isn't like I didn't get enough from you, I got plenty. But, everything from you has helped me. That is what I like.
